KNOWLEDGE

What is Knowledge pillar?

We encourage the production and dissemination of knowledge about the main inequality gaps that limit women’s participation in different spheres of society, and promote their appropriation by key actors and decision-makers, in order to influence the bridging thereof.

It is a mechanism that promotes research on the contexts, challenges, and opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Colombia and the Pacific region.

The resources allocated to the Fund finance the development of applied research projects and collaborative and participatory research, skills-building in research, master’s and doctoral studies and encourages the pursuit of post-doctoral research in universities in Colombia’s Pacific region.

Research at Fundación WWB Colombia

The Foundation carries out and leads its own research processes and with partners such as universities, think tanks and third sector organizations.

The research itself contemplates the design of projects related to the Foundation’s training or investment processes in different territories, with a view to creating qualitative and quantitative inputs to produce recommendations that can be incorporated into the organization’s actions and strategies.
On the other hand, research carried out with third parties is intended to produce data and knowledge on a topic, process or issue of common interest, to build evidence and promote the visibility of issues that have not been sufficiently exposed.

The Foundation not only invests resources in these research projects with partners, but also participates directly in the articulation of actors and in the promotion of spaces for dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Library

The Foundation’s library is a space where participants can exchange knowledge on topics related to gender equality, work, entrepreneurship, financial practices, and research methodologies, among others.

Beyond serving as a space that compiles bibliographic resources, it is conceived as part of a strategy to support research and collective action based on knowledge exchange, mutual support, and collaboration between people, organizations, and institutions.
